Our Story

I love to eat, and I get a special kick out of cooking.

Growing up, my mother made cooking look effortless, and she encouraged my sister Holly and me to follow in her footsteps. We didn’t exactly inherit her ability to get dinner on the table without a fuss, but we did grow up believing that we could make anything from scratch – and enjoying the process almost as much as the results.

The idea for Meez Meals came when Holly found that cooking wasn’t so much fun anymore. She was so busy, cooking had become a chore, rather than a culinary adventure. She told me I should start a business that would make cooking fun again. I know a good idea when I hear one, so I jumped on it.

I'm a home cook, just like our members, so I’m on the culinary adventure right along with you. Toasted gnocchi? What a revelation! Sriracha aioli? Where have you been all my life?

As great as the food is, the best part of Meez is hearing from our members. Knowing that we’ve made dinnertime a little easier and a lot more special is what makes this the best job in the world.

Oh yes and a supply chain expert, an anthropologist and a wilderness safety expert. These are a few of the folks who make Meez great.

Our culinary team is led by folks who’ve spent their entire careers in food, and our kitchen crew is a wonderful combination of folks with killer knife skills, artists, college students and everyone in between.

What we all share is a passion for home cooking. Whether it’s testing recipe after recipe until we find just the right flavor combination or spending hours sourcing a single ingredient, we’re committed to making your dinner great.
